Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is seeking an experienced CNC Laser Operator to set up, calibrate, and run laser and CNC machines for metal parts. You will program and edit machines, perform PM, and safely operate with overhead crane and forklift to meet order specs.

Strong measurement, reading drawings and tolerances, plus ability to lift at least 30 lbs are required. HS diploma or equivalent in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Laser Operator.
• Advanced measurement competency.
• Basic math competency.
• High school diploma or associate degree in manufacturing or equivalent.
• Experience reading drawings and tolerances.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates cutting machines per procedures.
• Performs programming and editing on assigned machines.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Operates overhead crane or forklift to move materials.
• Produces parts via laser cutting with oxygen/nitrogen.
• Inspects and measures finished parts for quality.
• Loads/unloads parts and verifies cycle correctness.
