Job summary

Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to safely and efficiently run our Trumpf 3060 TruFiber laser cutting system on large steel plates used in critical power infrastructure components.

You'll review blueprints, set up machines, verify material and cutting parameters, and maintain safety, quality, and productivity on the night shift (Mon-Fri, 4:30 PM–3:00 AM) with a 15% differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with manufacturing, CNC, laser cutting or industrial equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Trumpf 3060 laser cutting equipment per schedules and specs.
• Review work orders, nesting programs, blueprints, and drawings before production.
• Verify material type/thickness, cutting parameters, and machine settings.
• Perform startup/shutdown and routine checks; monitor cut quality and productivity.
• Load/unload steel plate using cranes/forklifts; keep area safe and organized.
• Maintain material traceability; document production and quality data.
