Job summary

Rhino Tool House is seeking a CNC Laser Operator in Livonia, MI. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines, tools, and facility systems to ensure maximum uptime and safe operation.

The role supports production by maintaining equipment and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines, tools, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders.
• Assist with equipment installation, setup, and calibration.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment problems and improve processes.
• Maintain an organized work area and participate in 5S/CI efforts.

Job Description:

The Laser CNC Operator is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, tools, equipment, and facilities to ensure maximum uptime and safe operation. This role supports production operations by performing both preventive and corrective maintenance, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Pre-employment Qualifications:

Pass pre-employment drug screen, acceptable background check results including criminal history.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or associate degree preferred. 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Language Skills:

Individuals must have good written and oral communication skills.

Reasoning Ability:

Strong attention to detail is also required

Computer Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Skilled with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment. Computer skills are a must for logging and reporting
