Job description

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our clients production team. In this role, you will operate and monitor laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts according to customer specifications and engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain quality standards while meeting production goals. Machine Operation

  • Operate CNC laser cutting and engraving equipment
  • Load raw materials into machines and prepare materials for processing
  • Monitor machine performance throughout production runs
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Ensure production schedules and job requirements are met
Setup & Configuration
  • Set up laser machines according to job specifications
  • Configure settings such as power, speed, and focal points
  • Position and align materials for accurate cutting
  • Conduct test runs and make adjustments to ensure proper operation
Blueprint & Print Reading
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements
  • Ensure finished products meet customer and engineering specifications
Quality Assurance
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
  • Identify defects or inconsistencies and make corrective adjustments
  • Maintain consistent quality standards throughout production
Equipment Maintenance
  • Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on laser equipment
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major repairs as needed
    • Replace worn components and assist with equipment upkeep
    • Help minimize downtime through proper machine care
    Safety & Housekeeping
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
    • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
    • Adhere to all operational and quality standards
    Requirements

    Previous experience operating CNC laser equipment preferred

    • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and production documents
    • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
    Strong attention to detail and quality control
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
    • Manufacturing experience preferred
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to stand for extended periods
    • Ability to lift materials and parts as required
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    • Ability to safely operate production equipment and tools
