The Industrial Automation Machine Builder builds, assembles, installs, and troubleshoots custom industrial automation equipment and machinery. This hands-on role interprets mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, and basic electrical diagrams to complete machine builds from assembly through final setup and testing.
Pass pre-employment drug screen and acceptable background check results, including criminal history.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred. Three (3) or more years of industrial mechanical assembly, machine building, automation, or related skilled trades experience preferred.
Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate effectively with Engineering and other skilled trades.
Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently from drawings, identify assembly issues, and determine corrective actions with attention to detail and quality.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, and basic electrical wiring diagrams. Knowledge of pneumatic systems and mechanical drives; skilled with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment. Basic computer skills for drawings, work instructions, and reporting.
