Job Description:
The Industrial Automation Machine Builder builds, assembles, installs, and troubleshoots custom industrial automation equipment and machinery. This hands-on role interprets mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, and basic electrical diagrams to complete machine builds from assembly through final setup and testing.
Pre-employment Qualifications:Pass pre-employment drug screen and acceptable background check results, including criminal history.
Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred. Three (3) or more years of industrial mechanical assembly, machine building, automation, or related skilled trades experience preferred.
Language Skills:Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate effectively with Engineering and other skilled trades.
Reasoning Ability:Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently from drawings, identify assembly issues, and determine corrective actions with attention to detail and quality.
Computer Knowledge and Skills:Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, and basic electrical wiring diagrams. Knowledge of pneumatic systems and mechanical drives; skilled with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment. Basic computer skills for drawings, work instructions, and reporting.
