Job summary

Nomad Global Communication Solutions is seeking a CNC Assistant Lead for 2nd shift in our Fabrication department to guide CNC, Laser, Loewer, and Brake operations and maintain safety standards. You will develop production schedules, manage machine readiness, train team members, perform quality checks, and coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure material availability.

Strong leadership and hands-on problem solving are essential, with 1–3 years CNC experience and weld/ fabrication background

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; additional education preferred.
• 1–3 years CNC machinery experience.
• 1–3 years welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Lean methodology knowledge.
• Leadership ability to train and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee a team of CNC, Laser, Loewer, and Brake operators.
• Develop production schedules and ensure optimal machine utilization.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet deadlines.
• Lead training and maintain training documentation.
• Conduct safety training and enforce PPE.
• Perform quality inspections and audits per QC requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance and preventive repairs.
• Improve processes with Engineering and Production teams.
• Manage inventory with Supply Chain.
• Foster vendor and internal stakeholder relationships.
