Job summary

Trillium Professional in the Chicago area is seeking a CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist with 3-5 years of experience in heavy manufacturing. You will be responsible for setup, programming, and operation on a high-precision machine, reading blueprints and GD&T.

Mastercam programming experience is preferred, and you will work with engineers and shop personnel to ensure quality parts, while maintaining safety and clean work areas.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience operating CNC HBM in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Fanuc Control Experience.
• Be able to create your own set-up.
• Advanced reading of drawings and specifications with an advanced understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions.
• Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
• Knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments, to include but not limited to calipers, ID & OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and scales.

Responsibilities

• Producing quality parts on CNC Boring Mill, with minimal supervision.
• Responsible for set-up, operation, and programming.
• Experience with Mastercam programming.
• Ability to understand blueprints.
• Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for machining.
• Troubleshooting machine issues.
• Operates a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts.
• Works with shop supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
• Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions.
• Responsible for the enforcement of all Company Health, Safety and Environmental rules.

Trillium Professional has a direct hire opportunity for a CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist in the Chicago area.

The pay rate is up to $40hr.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Producing Quality parts on CNC Boring Mill, with minimal supervision.
• Responsible for set-up, operation, and programming
