Trillium Engineering Services in Elk Grove, CA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Machinist (Machinist III) with hands-on experience programming, setting up, and machining large, complex components on Horizontal Boring Mills. The pay range is $40.00–$48.00 per hour, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will independently manage custom, one-off, and short-run projects from blueprint interpretation and job planning through CNC programming, fixturing, setup, machining, and inspection,

Qualifications

• Experience programming and operating Horizontal Boring Mills.
• Ability to manage one-off and short-run machining from planning to inspection.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Experience with large-part and weldment machining.
• Design and fabricate custom fixtures and workholding.

Responsibilities

• Program complex parts using CAM software and set up HBMs.
• Machine large, heavy components with tight tolerances.
• Develop efficient machining strategies for short runs.
• Plan setups considering distortion, deflection, and thermal movement.
