Viant is seeking a CNC Machinist for 1st shift in Wheeling, IL to set up, operate, and maintain Grinding CNC machines producing precision components per engineering specs. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of machine shop experience; CNC setup REQUIRED.
• Ability to read blueprints and work with close tolerances.
• Strong written and verbal communication; lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Must pass safety and quality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate Grinding CNC machines per specs.
• Load materials, verify tooling alignment and offsets.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Make program edits to maintain tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections with precision tools.
• Maintain production records and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
