Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. in Lake Zurich, IL is seeking a 1st shift Skilled Machinist to operate and set up CNC machines, perform complex machining to close tolerances, and train others. This on-site role requires reading blueprints, GD&T, and programming support with ITAR compliance.

The position offers a 6:00 am to 2:30 pm schedule, weekly pay, and a pay range of $27.00 to $40.00 per hour. Final pay depends on experience and qualifications; ITAR access is required.

Qualifications

• Operating sophisticated CNC machinery with setup responsibilities and close tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and precise measuring using gages and metrology tools.
• Proficiency in basic computer tasks (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Able to train others and support engineering/maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced setup operations (aerospace, new product) on NC machines.
• Troubleshoot issues before involving engineering.
• Set up and run all machines on the production floor.
• Train others on CNC setup and operation.
• Accurately input job data into ERP system and MBP MMS.
