Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Field Service Technician to travel nationwide, diagnose, repair, and maintain CNC machinery at customer sites. This home-based field role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to learn new systems while supporting industrial equipment.

The ideal candidate has experience with motors, drives, VFDs, and PLCs, and is comfortable working directly with customers. Extensive travel is required, with 3 weeks on and 1 week off.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with electrical, electronic, CNC, automation, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics.
• Experience with motors, sensors, drives, VFDs, relays, or industrial controls.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable interacting directly with customers and traveling.
• Willing and able to travel throughout the U.S. for 3 consecutive weeks.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer facilities throughout the U.S. to service CNC machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls issues.
• Read schematics and documentation to identify root causes.
• Complete service reports and coordinate with engineering and parts teams.
