Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a CNC Field Service Technician to travel nationwide, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair advanced CNC machinery. The role emphasizes electrical/electronic/industrial equipment expertise with strong problem-solving and field customer interaction.

Based out of Atlanta, GA, it offers 3 weeks on / 1 week off travel, with a fully remote workplace model and comprehensive benefits. Prior military/electrical maintenance backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with electrical, electronic, CNC, automation, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics.
• Solid mechanical aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment independently.
• Willing and able to travel throughout the U.S. for 3 consecutive weeks.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer facilities throughout the U.S.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls problems.
• Troubleshoot motors, sensors, drives, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, and industrial electrical systems.
• Read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Replace electrical and mechanical components.
• Make machine adjustments to improve performance and reliability.
• Identify worn or failing components before they cause breakdowns.
• Work directly with customers to diagnose equipment problems.
• Partner with engineering, parts, and technical support teams on more complex repairs.
• Complete service reports and equipment documentation.
