Job summary

HFO Chicago LLC, a Morris Group division and USA Today Top Workplace, seeks a Field Service Technician in Valparaiso, IN. The role involves traveling to customer sites to install, repair, and maintain Haas CNC machine tools, with a company vehicle provided and travel expenses covered.

You will troubleshoot using manuals and vendor resources, document repair status for customers and the office, and support preventive maintenance plus after-sales training.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical/electrical repair or engineering is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with laptops, smartphones, and field software.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment
• Research machine issues using online manuals and vendor resources
• Document status of repairs and installations for customers and office
• Promote preventive maintenance and provide after-sales support and training
• Maintain knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines
• Training in CNC repair and Haas equipment during onboarding
