Job summary

HFO Chicago, a Morris Group, Inc. division, seeks a Field Service Technician in Peoria, IL. The role travels to customer facilities to install, repair and maintain Haas CNC machine tool equipment, with company vehicle and travel expenses provided by the company.

You will train in CNC repair and Haas equipment, with factory certification within the first year, and you will document work status and provide after-sales support and training to customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in mechanical/electrical repair or engineering desired.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics is required.
• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills are a must.
• Willingness to travel regionally and to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, fix, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls (company vehicle & gas paid).
• Use online manuals and vendor resources to research machine issues.
• Document status of machine issues, repairs, and installation to office and customer.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance and after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tools and Haas product lines; training with factory certification within the first year.
