Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking a Fabricator III to join our Portage, MI manufacturing team. You will set up and operate fabrication and machining equipment, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet precise specifications in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $23.80 plus a $1.50 shift premium, with bonus potential and benefits. This onsite role requires flexibility for OT as needed and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or machine operation experience.
• Experience operating fabrication equipment, CNC machinery, lathes, or related manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and quality inspection skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication and machining equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, sheet metal fabrication equipment, and secondary operation work centers.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and product specifications to produce parts accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height stands, angle gauges, profilometers, and other measurement tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and production issues to maintain quality and productivity.
• Perform machine setups, product changeovers, work preparation, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records in accordance with Stryker procedures.
• Follow safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while consistently meeting production goals.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence.
