Job summary

Stryker Arlington, TN is seeking a Machinist II for weekend shifts to produce precision metal components used in life-saving medical technologies. You will set up, operate, and monitor CNC and manual machines, read blueprints, and verify dimensions with precision measuring tools to ensure quality and surface finish.

Qualified candidates will have a Machinist Certification and at least 3 years of hands-on machining experience, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Machinist Certification from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on machining experience (CNC or manual).
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Able to read blueprints and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
• Produce parts meeting engineering and quality specifications.
• Read blueprints, work instructions, and drawings to verify tolerances.
• Perform routine quality checks with calipers, micrometers, gauges; document results.
• Escalate equipment issues or deviations; support 5S and safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and quality partners to meet goals.
