Dynatect LSI in Traverse City, MI is seeking an experienced CNC External Thread Grinder to set up, operate, and maintain thread grinding equipment for high-precision components. The role includes training on 1st shift and working across engineering, quality, and production teams.

The position requires at least 2 years of CNC machining experience, familiarity with G-code and blueprints, and ability to read precision measurements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating CNC External Thread Grinding equipment preferred.
• Working knowledge of G-code editing and machine offsets.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate CNC external thread grinding machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and job travelers.
• Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments as needed.
• Load and properly secure raw materials.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Verify parts meet dimensional, thread profile, and surface finish specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining and grinding issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
