Job summary

Dynatect Manufacturing seeks an experienced CNC External Thread Grinder for the Traverse City, MI area. The role handles setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC thread grinding equipment to produce high-precision threaded components per engineering specs and customer quality standards.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, performing machine adjustments, loading materials, inspecting parts with precision tools, and ensuring quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
• Experience operating CNC External Thread Grinding equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC external thread grinding machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and travelers.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments.
• Load and secure raw materials.
• Inspect finished parts with micrometers, calipers, and thread gauges.
• Verify parts meet dimensional and surface finish specs.
• Troubleshoot machining and grinding issues.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve issues.
