Job summary
Aerotek in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair CNC machinery and electrical systems in a foundry environment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and document activities to minimize downtime.
Work includes installation support, reading electrical schematics, and ensuring safe operation around high-voltage equipment. Permanent onsite role with overtime opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience in electrical maintenance of industrial machinery.
- Experience with PLC wiring and ladder logic.
- Ability to read electrical prints and schematics.
- Experience with 120V and 480V systems.
- Hands-on CNC and robotics troubleshooting.
- Familiar with preventive maintenance programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance on CNC machines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other production machinery.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using measurements and instruments.
- Diagnose from diagrams and manuals to repair equipment.
- Replace defective parts using hoists and cranes safely.
- Identify problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Prepare maintenance reports summarizing data and trends.
- Support installation and startup of large automated systems.
- Read electrical prints to guide repairs.
