Job summary

Joyce/Dayton Corp. seeks a CNC Conversational Mill Operator I for 3rd shift to safely and efficiently manufacture precision parts. The role is hourly and non-exempt, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities include setting up tools, editing CNC programs, inspecting first pieces, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances while maintaining tool life and machine condition.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and related experience.
• Minimum 1 year of CNC Mills experience required.
• Ability to interpret and follow blueprints and process sheets.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC conversational mill to close tolerances (±0.0002 inches).
• Machine metals such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Inspect parts during production with precision measuring tools.
• Read blueprints and process sheets to determine machining requirements.
• Edit and troubleshoot pre-written programs under supervision.
