Job summary

Dayton Superior is seeking a Machine Operator to maintain and operate machinery including conventional, CNC machines, grinders, drills, and presses. The role involves ensuring production requirements are met while keeping the work area clean and safe.

Responsibilities include operating various presses and saws, inspecting finished parts for conformance, and documenting process tickets. Must be able to handle heavy lifting and adapt to a 3rd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.
• Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting and the use of tape measure.
• 1 to 3 years' related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned machines, including resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses.
• Maintains clean and safe work area.
• Packing finished materials into dunnage and loading/unloading.
• Checks that the finished workpiece conforms to specifications.
• Completes documentation correctly for process monitors and production tickets.
• Starts and observes machine operation and may fix issues during shift.
