Empower Manufacturing | Precision Shafts, Machined Shafts & Components in Dayton, OH, seeks a second-shift CNC Mill Setup Operator who owns the process from setup through inspection.

You’ll read blueprints, verify tooling, perform dry runs, and make offsets and edits to hold tolerance, while inspecting your own parts with precision measuring tools and collaborating with leaders to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills.
• Ability to read and interpret customer blueprints and specifications.
• Capability to perform dry-runs, offsets and basic program edits.
• Proficient use of precision measuring equipment for inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills.
• Read and work from customer blueprints and specifications.
• Verify programs, tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
• Dry-run new programs before full production.
• Make offsets and basic program edits to hold tolerance.
• Inspect your own parts using micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, verniers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Catch machining and quality concerns early and work with Team Leads and Quality to solve them.
• Learn different jobs, setups, and programs rather than running the same part every day.
