Job summary

Joyce/Dayton Corp is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator II for the Weekend Shift (N,M,S Shift) in the United States. You will manufacture parts with close tolerances and inspect them using precision instruments, under supervision from the Production Supervisor.

The role requires setup, editing CNC programs, and training newer operators in a fast-paced environment. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with responsibilities including tooling, readings from blueprints, and bench work.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification includes a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of proven CNC lathe experience and set-up capabilities.
• Overhead crane experience and ability to read blueprints and process sheets.
• Experience with inspecting parts using precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe to tight tolerances and machine metals such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Inspect parts during production and verify conformance to specifications.
• Read process sheets and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
• Set up and operate CNC machines using setup sheets with minimal supervision.
• Edit programs for process improvements and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain machine fluid levels and perform basic equipment maintenance.
