Job summary
The Crosby Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Capital Projects, CNC & Automation to drive operational excellence by designing and optimizing manufacturing processes, CNC machining, automation systems, and capital projects. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to build business cases and execute improvement initiatives.
The role emphasizes leadership in capital projects, CNC programming, process optimization, and deployment of Industry 4.0
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field related to manufacturing engineering.
- Experience leading capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects from concept to execution.
- Strong background in CNC machining, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing systems.
- Experience with robotics, automation, IIoT, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning, startup and acceptance.
- Develop scopes, equipment specs, layouts, and technical requirements.
- Prepare ROI, payback, NPV analyses and capital requests.
- Drive CNC programming, process optimization, and tooling performance.
- Identify automation opportunities and implement manufacturing technologies.
