Job summary

Control Devices, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Fenton, MO to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment, CNC machinery, automated systems, and facility infrastructure. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC, and automation troubleshooting skills within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school education preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machinery.
• Experience maintaining automated equipment and industrial control systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Experience using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, CNC machines, automated systems, and facility equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues and perform timely repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment, including machine controls, servo systems, spindle systems, tooling equipment, and associated peripherals.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace machine components quickly and efficiently to restore production operations.
• Install, align, adjust, and test replacement parts and components.
• Thoroughly clean machines and machine components, removing and reinstalling parts as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, sensors, PLC-controlled systems, VFDs, HMIs, and other industrial automation equipment.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, automation projects, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support commissioning and startup activities for new equipment and automation systems.
• Work with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Perform maintenance and repair of building systems, including lighting, HVAC, compressed air systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general facility infrastructure.
• Assist with facility improvement projects, contractor coordination, and equipment installations.
• Maintain safety systems and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
