Job summary

Norwood Medical in Dayton, OH seeks a Manufacturing Team Lead to guide a focused group through project execution and continuous improvement. You will mentor staff, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced medical device environment.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing principles. Eligible candidates will have a reliable attendance record and a readiness to work overtime

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience leading teams with training, mentorship, and performance guidance.
  • Ability to read, write, and conduct business in English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage assigned team by providing guidance, training, mentorship, and support to ensure successful execution of projects and goals.
  • Delegate, monitor, and audit tasks for direct reports, ensuring resources are available to complete projects.
  • Collaborate with manager on full employment cycle of direct reports including career development and performance feedback.
  • Escalate area and/or personnel issues to manager or appropriate department.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues for direct reports as needed.
  • Adhere to safety practices and support safety-related activities.
  • Ensure projects comply with ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820 and other requirements.
  • Provide project updates to management.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Lead and manage assigned team by providing guidance, training, mentorship, and support to ensure successful execution of assigned projects and goals.
  • Delegate, monitor, and audit tasks for assigned team of direct reports including ensuring resources are provided and available to complete projects.
  • Collaborate with manager on full employment cycle of direct reports including career development, performance feedback, succession planning, employee engagement, and creating a strong culture of innovation and learning.
  • Escalate area and/or personnel issues to manager or to appropriate department.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues for direct reports as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety practices and support safety related activities.
  • Ensure projects are in compliance to ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820 and other requirements.
  • Provide project updates and report-outs to management.
  • Performs work as assigned by manager.

  • Experience: Demonstrated longevity of at least eight consecutive months in previous employment. Top Candidates will have: working experience in manufacturing environment.
