Job summary

Norwood Medical is seeking a CNC Operator 1 in Dayton, OH. You will operate CNC production equipment, set offsets, perform tool changes, and execute inspection plans to ensure product quality for medical devices.

You will troubleshoot CNC issues, maintain daily production goals, and work closely with a team in a safety-focused environment, with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• Must have eight months of work history in prior roles.
• Top candidates will have working experience on CNC machines.
• Must be able to read, write and conduct business in English.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions and perform quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Read, follow and complete a company router and perform work as assigned by a Group Leader.
• Operate one or more types of CNC production equipment.
• Set CNC machine offsets and adjustments as needed.
• Make tool changes as required.
• Execute a Manufacturing Inspection Plan or inspection data sheet and document results.
• Troubleshoot common CNC machine issues and alarms.
• Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions.
• Maintain and track daily production goals.
• Work as a team player and communicate work-related issues.
• Perform typical machine shop operations and maintain a clean, safe area.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Read, follow and complete a company router and perform work as assigned by a Group Leader.
• Responsible for operating one or more types of computerized numeric controlled (CNC) production equipment.
• Select the appropriate settings on the CNC machine to make offsets and/or adjustments as necessary.
• Make tool changes tools as required.
• Execute an inspection plan, such as a Manufacturing Inspection Plan (MIP) or inspection data sheet, utilizing standard and/or specialized inspection equipment and document results as required.
• Troubleshoot common production CNC machine issues and alarms.
• Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to a Group Leader.
• Maintain and track production goals on a daily basis.
• Work as a team player and communicate work related issues as needed.
• Perform typical machine shop operations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures.

• Experience: Demonstrated longevity of at least eight consecutive months in previous employment. Top Candidates will have working experience on CNC machines.
