Job summary

Norwood Medical is seeking a motivated CNC operator in Dayton, Ohio. You will load materials, start CNC programs, monitor production, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while collaborating with experienced teammates to learn and grow in medical device manufacturing.

The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and willingness to learn, with opportunities for overtime and skill development across multiple areas of our advanced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Able to stand, sit, or move about the facility as required.

Responsibilities

• Load raw material into a CNC fixture using pneumatic air guns or torque wrenches.
• Cycle start the CNC machine to run the program.
• Detect and report defective material to a Group Leader.
• Work as a team member and communicate work-related issues clearly.
• Perform typical machine shop operations and keep a clean, orderly area.
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Perform work as assigned by Group Leader.
• Load raw material into a CNC fixture utilizing pneumatic air guns and/or torque wrenches.
• Cycle start the CNC machine to execute the selected program.
• Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to a Group Leader.
• Work as a team member and communicate work related issues as needed.
• Perform typical machine shop operations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures.

Skills

• Able to work under moderate supervision while following established methods and procedures to perform operations required for successful manufacturing operations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, or move about the facility.

• Experience: Demonstrated longevity of at least eight consecutive months in previous employment. Top Candidates will have: working experience on CNC machines.
