Job summary

Morris Midwest, a division of Morris Group, Inc., is seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician to join a growing team in Arlington Heights, IL. You will apply CNC/machining expertise, CAD/CAM skills, and strong customer-service to deliver hands-on support, training, and turnkey proposals for customers in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires travel within the regional territory and provides competitive benefits, training opportunities, and career growth in a leading machine

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on machining background with at least 3 years of experience with CNC machines.
• Experience on Swiss and Okuma controls is a plus.
• Proven solid understanding of CAD/CAM software is vital.
• MasterCam, Esprit and Solidworks experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and effective interpersonal skills required.
• Frequent travel throughout our regional territory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposals
• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
• Programming and setting up CNC lathes, CNC vertical or horizontal mills, and Swiss style lathes
• Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines
• Maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the company
