Job summary

Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert, Idaho seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care in a swing bed unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, basic nursing tasks, and support the care team under RN/LPN direction.

Cross-training to medical, surgical, or swing departments is available, and you may serve as a patient sitter when needed. Strong English communication and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification in Idaho.
• Current BLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN or physician direction.
• Assists with activities of daily living and personal care for patients.
• Cross-training to medical, surgical or swing department as needed.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Performs routine nursing tasks and observes patient conditions, reporting changes.
