Job summary

State of Washington Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Nursing Assistant Certified for the Spokane Veterans Home. The role provides essential nursing support to veterans, with a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule, Saturday through Wednesday.

The position includes facility premiums and shift differentials, and requires full-time, on-site work in Spokane, WA. Qualifications include Washington NAC, OBRA status, English proficiency, and a high school diploma or GED, plus at least 6 months of health

Qualifications

• Current and valid Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC).
• Current active OBRA status check.
• Proficient in English (read, write, speak).
• High School diploma or GED.
• 6 months of experience in healthcare customer service or direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with daily living activities and movements.
• Respond to call lights, emergencies, and codes.
• Record care, vital signs and observations.
• Assist with clothing, bathing, grooming, and personal care.
• Assist with therapies and treatments under licensed personnel.
• Accurately document vital signs and intake/output.
• Perform basic nursing procedures as directed.
