Job summary

Asante in Medford, OR is seeking a CNA/Unit Secretary for 3rd shift nights on an on-call basis. The role blends clerical and receptionist duties with patient-care support under supervision of an RN.

You will perform unit clerical tasks, facilitate workflow, transcribe orders, support patient safety and satisfaction, and uphold Asante’s Vision and Values in daily practice.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology gained through education or experience in a healthcare setting.
• Previous CNA and/or clerical experience required.
• CNA certification by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) on start.

SalaryRange:$19.27 - $26.50

Shift Differentials:

• $1.21/hr. for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $2.05/hr. for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $1.05/hr. extra for working weekends

Position Summary

TheCNA/Unit Secretarycarries out the clerical and receptionist duties of the nursing units and is responsible for facilitating the flow of the nursing units, communication of information, and transcription of physicians’ orders under the supervision of an RN. As a certified caregiver, the CNA/Unit Secretary is also responsible and accountable for individual practice for assigned patient(s), contributing to the utilization of the nursing process, under the supervision and direction of the RN.

Certifications/Licensure

• CNA certified by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) is required upon start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.

Working Environment/Physical Requirements

• This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis – such as transferring a patient in and out of a bed. The ability to bend, stretch, twist, and perform other awkward physical movements is also required.
