Job summary
Diversicare Healthcare Services Inc. is seeking a Transportation Aide – CNA to safely transport residents to appointments and activities while delivering attentive care. You will also assist with CNA duties when not transporting, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the journey.
The role requires a valid driver’s license, a Texas Nursing Assistant Certification, and a clean driving record. You’ll participate in the Employee Driver Proficiency program and collaborate with the caring
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Age 25 or older (insurance requirement)
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas
- Pass DMV check and qualify for company insurance
- Complete Employee Driver Proficiency program
- Demonstrates strong communication, patience, and attention to detail
- Comfortable with caregiving and safe vehicle operation
Responsibilities
- Safely Transport Residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and activities
- Ensure resident comfort and monitor safety during transport
- Observe changes in residents’ condition and report concerns promptly
- Assist with mobility and transfers using assistive devices and proper technique
- Monitor vital signs when needed during transport
- Support CNA duties in the facility when not transporting residents
