Soddy-Daisy Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to fill the Transportation Aide role. You will transport residents to appointments and provide direct care under licensed supervision, ensuring safety and compassionate service.

The position emphasizes teamwork, patient comfort, and reliable mobility support. A CNA license and a valid state driver’s license are required, with strong English communication and the ability to work independently in a busy facility.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license is required.
• Valid State Driver’s License with no more than three MVR entries.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transportation to appointments and assist with direct resident care under supervision.
• Assist in arranging transportation to appointments and community events.
• Notify family of appointment arrangements and changes.
• Perform clerical tasks such as processing transfers and discharges.
• Record resident vitals, weights, intake/output, and other information as assigned.
• Use proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting residents.
