Job summary

Valley Health is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Surg Telemetry Step-Down unit in Winchester, VA. The role provides routine patient care under RN/LPN supervision and upholds patient safety while reporting concerns to the team.

New CNAs may precept others after orientation; applicants should have a high school diploma and be listed on the Virginia or West Virginia CNA registry, with BLS certification required before orientation ends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide required; must be listed in VA and/or WV registry depending on work location.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) required; new hires must have prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• The CNA performs routine personal care duties for patients under RN/LPN supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports any problems.
• May act as a preceptor after gaining experience in orientation of new CNAs.
