Valley Health System in Winchester, VA, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for the MED TELEMETRY STEP-DOWN department. The role supports patient care under supervision of a RN or LPN, performs routine personal care, maintains a safe environment, and may serve as a preceptor after experience.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA registry listing in Virginia/West Virginia, and BLS certification.

• Must be competent to interact with patients according to their age-related needs.
• Must have reliable phone communication with hospital and be able to obtain Valley Health annual flu vaccination.

Department MED TELEMETRY STEP- DOWN - 206025 Worker Sub Type Regular Work Shift Pay Range $18.59 - $24.16

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Certification & Licensures

Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide required. Must be listed on the relevant Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide in Virginia and/or West Virginia based on work location(s) within Valley Health.

BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications

Must understand basic principles of human growth and development. Must be competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the age of the patient served. Must have a reliable means of phone communication with hospital. Will be required to obtain Valley Health provided annual flu vaccination if employed in Long-Term Care clinical areas.
