Valley Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for the SURG TELEMETRY STEP-DOWN unit in Winchester, VA. The CNA provides routine personal care to patients under supervision, maintains a safe environment, and reports issues promptly. With experience, you may precept new CNAs during orientation.

Education preferred is a High School Diploma or equivalent; CNA certification and BLS through AHA are required. Flu vaccination is required for Long-Term Care areas.

Qualifications

• Must understand basic principles of human growth and development.
• Competent to interact with patients according to their age and needs.
• Must have reliable phone communication with hospital.
• Annual flu vaccination required if employed in Long-Term Care areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine personal care duties for patients under RN or LPN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment and report any problems.
• Support the mission and vision of Winchester Rehabilitation Center and Winchester Medical Center.
• May serve as a preceptor during orientation of new CNAs after gaining experience.
