Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Galesburg, IL seeks a Patient Care Technician / Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to provide safe basic care, take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and collect specimens as needed. You will record data in patient charts, communicate with the care team to ensure continuity of care, and duties may vary by department.

This hourly role includes a $2.25/hour third-shift differential and a comprehensive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• CNA-certified nursing assistant required.
• CPR (American Heart Association HealthCare Provider) required.
• BLS certification required or preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients preferred.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
