Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to provide safe, basic patient care including vital signs, daily living activities, and specimen collection. You will document patient information, coordinate with the care team, and monitor patient conditions to support high-quality outcomes.

The role requires CNA certification, CPR/AHA HealthCare Provider training, and at least a high school diploma or GED.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:

• 3rd Shift: $2.25/hour
• Weekend: $1.75/hour

SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE!

• $1,200 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment.
• Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licenses/Certifications: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
