Job summary

Ventura Services Florida is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide daily living activities and direct resident care under supervision of a nurse. You will assist with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and dressing, and help with meals and feeding while documenting intake in the electronic health record.

Responsibilities include transferring residents, transporting to activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring dignity, rights, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school education or ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• CNA certification and state certification within four months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: bathing, grooming, oral and hygiene care.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and documenting intake.
• Transport residents to activities and dining; assist with transfers.
• Take and record vital signs; observe for changes and report to supervisor.
• Maintain resident dignity, rights, and confidentiality.
• Prepare residents for rounds, assist with admissions and discharges.
• Attend in-services and participate in orientation for new staff.
