Job summary

The Good Samaritan in SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting, under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment.

This full-time role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and CNA certification; prior long-term care experience is preferred, and

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness, meals, housekeeping, and recreational activities for residents.
