Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (NA) for the Atkinson facility to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will support basic nursing tasks under the supervision of an RN and assist with daily living activities, meals, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety.

The role requires CNA certification or active enrollment, a minimum age of 16, and adherence to infection control.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining certification.
• Completion of yearly competency testing and 12 hours continuing education annually.
• May require Sanford Category II Driver status with valid license and driving ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vitals, and psychosocial support.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Support meals, hydration, dining experience, and help with activities and recreation.
