Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Aberdeen, SD is hiring a Restorative CNA Wellness Instructor to join our rehab team. This full-time role focuses on delivering wellness, fitness and exercise programs within restorative care for senior populations.

You will receive onsite restorative training, work with the therapy team, and perform exclusive restorative duties while maintaining a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• Specialty fitness/personal trainer certification preferred.
• Background in exercise/activity training with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work with the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training onsite; CNA certification required.
• Assist in restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative duties (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with fewer less-desirable tasks typically seen in CNA roles.

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week with weekend coverage

Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care Wellness

Location: Aberdeen, SD

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor For Restorative Care, You Will

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the "less desirable" tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
