Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Newburgh, IN is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our Rehab Therapy Team. This full-time role focuses on wellness, fitness, and exercise programs for residents under professional supervision.

You will receive on-site restorative training and CNA certification is required. The position offers opportunities for growth, competitive benefits, and collaborative multidisciplinary support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor or similar (preferred).
• Experience or background in exercise/activity training with seniors (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs in coordination with the therapy team.
• Receive restorative training onsite; CNA certification required.
• Assist in restorative care tasks as directed for patients.
• Handle exclusive restorative responsibilities (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming, prosthesis care).

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week. Weekend rotation

Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care Wellness

Location: Newburg, IN

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor For Restorative Care, You Will

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
