Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Restorative CNA - Wellness Instructor to join the Rehab Therapy Team on a PRN basis. The role focuses on wellness, fitness, and exercise programs for residents in a rehabilitation center setting.

Reported to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy, you will receive full restorative training onsite. CNA certification is required, and there is no mandatory prior restorative experience.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required and current state certification preferred.
• Experience in wellness or fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Background in designing and delivering exercise regimes for older adults is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with the rehab therapy team.
• Receive restorative training onsite; no restorative experience required beyond CNA certification.
• Assist in restorative care activities and exclusive restorative tasks as directed.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the less desirable tasks that often accompany a CNA position.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
