Qualifications

• Assists in transporting patients for radiology studies.
• Performs bedside glucose testing and records results.
• Follows policies, procedures and physician orders.
• Reports abnormal vital signs to a nurse.
• Under RN supervision transports patients to other care areas.
• Uses lift equipment and assist devices based on patient needs.
• Wears PPE and follows isolation precautions.
• Maintains organized, clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Proper safety procedures are utilized to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Communicates relevant, accurate, and complete information to caregivers.
• Adheres to safety policy wearing protective equipment while cleaning.
• Trash and linens are bagged and placed in the soiled utility room.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment as needed (stretchers, wheelchairs, carts, IV poles).
• Call lights and phones are answered efficiently.
