Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport jobs are accepted and completed without delay.
• Appropriate equipment obtained prior to arriving to floor.
• Patient identifiers are checked prior to moving patients.
• Equipment is checked before every transport to ensure safety and in working order.
• Unsafe or damaged equipment is reported to team leader and taken out of service.
• Notifies appropriate caregiver of intent to transport patient.
• Maintains trip sheets with complete and accurate information recorded.
• Communicates any pertinent patient information to receiving caregiver.
• Training is completed on all safe handling devices.
• Assesses the patient to determine the most appropriate lift equipment to use on a specific patient.
• Lift assist devices are used on all needed transports.

Education

Graduate Equivalent - GED - Preferred

High School Diploma - Preferred
