Responsibilities

• Vital signs are taken on each patient, on each visit and input into the record; documents findings in the medical record.
• All controls and specimen collection follow policy and procedure; proficiency testing and quality control are performed per policy.
• Follow policies for routine office procedures, test administration of medications, and assisting providers up to IV therapy.
• Initiate imaging by interpreting the order for appropriate test to determine location and setting the controls on x-ray equipment; provide imaging education for patients.
• Maintenance of x-ray equipment includes cleaning and routine checks; inventory and stocking of films and radiologic supplies.
