Job summary

Mount Pleasant High School in Providence is seeking a Child Support Assistant for a one-year position, reporting to the Principal and collaborating with the School Nurse and teachers. Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 48 college credits or passing ParaPro Test with 461.
• Certification: CNA licensure and RIDE Teacher Assistant Training Program Certificate.
• Ability to obtain and maintain active CNA license in RI.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily and long-range lesson planning (with teacher).
• Assist students with daily living needs including health and personal care.
• Supervise students in classrooms, corridors, yards, lavatories, cafeterias, and on field trips.
• Assist with toileting, dressing, feeding, positioning, and self-care.
• Follow care plans, monitor safety, and maintain hygienic environments.
• Collaborate with Nurse/teacher and support staff to meet student needs.
• Attend ongoing professional development sessions.
